Whatever happened to...?

                  The Vanishing Bienes
I could make a twisted career of cataloguing the South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s journalistic sins of omission and commission.
  For example….

There’s the Disappearance of Fort Lauderdale’s glitterati philanthropists Dianne and Michael Bienes.
With long-time business ties to Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff, Bienes garnered mega notoriety and Roman Catholic Knighthood for the millions he and his wife donated to a host of South Florida charities.
But then, following  Madoff’s financial implosion, trial  and prison term, Dianne and Michael quietly sold their Fort Lauderdale  home for $3.6 million and blew town.
Which leaves us with three questions:
One - Where are they now?
Two - What’s the status  of the millions the two pledged to various local charities ranging from Holy Cross Hospital to Saint Thomas High School?
Three - What about the multi-million dollar "clawback" suit a number of Madoff's victims filed again Bienes and his accounting firm partner?
Not that you’ll ever find any update regarding the Vanished Bienes in the
Sun-Sentinel.
