A Matter of Resonance

Will Ashton Kutchner’s character “work” as well as Charlie Sheen’s did in the Two-and-A-Half Men mega sit-com?
      Don’t think so.
      Why.
My guess is American TV viewers will resonate less to the Ashton Kutchner character’s self-absorbed immaturity than they did to the Charlie Sheen character’s self-absorbed rage.
In other words, more Americans will identify with out-of-control sex, substance abuse and rage than with out-of-control sex, naiveté and mega wealth.
Again, from a more universal standpoint, in the mythology of virtually every culture, theTrickster has always been more powerful than the Fool. JKdeG
