         Bonnie & Clyde           2D
Today
– Notorious Depression era bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde Barrow were gunned down in an ambush by a posse of lawman in rural Louisiana 77 years ago today. The subject of a film starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, in real life the decidedly white trash duo became media heroes – despite their sociopathic life styles that led to the killing of nine police officers and several civilians. Knowing the two were visiting relatives, the posse of six lawmen fired more than 130 rounds from an arsenal of weapons into the couple’s stolen Ford V8. The official coroner’s report listed 17 separate entrance wounds in Clyde’s body and 26 in Bonnie’s –  -- which created problems for undertakers due to embalming fluid leaking from their bodies.

Birthday Boy -  Lead singer in the totally animated band The Gorillaz, Stuart Tusspot, aka Stuart Pot, aka Stu-Pot, aka 2D  was born 33 years ago today in West Sussex, England. Little is known about the real Stu-Pot, other than reports that he fell out of a tree when he was 10 years old, which led to the loss of his hair due to the medication his nurse-mother administered to her son. Other than the loss of his hair as a child, a young Stu-Pot dreamed of becoming a Storm Chaser, before taking up the keyboards,  which led to his role as the featured gap-toothed, black-eyed 2D in the world’s best-selling animated musical group – where reality has since become a bit fuzzy.
